Phillip Evans BE (Comp) Hons, M.IEEEPhillip has over 18 years' experience in the Information Technology industry.
He spent 11.5 years with BHP Information Technology before leaving to form Evanscorp. Phillip began with BHP IT as a cadet in a system administration role then moved on to software development.
This rapidly progressed to lead developer, architect and mentor roles for various projects, including lead
developer and design authority on the Australian Diplomatic Communications Network project for the Department
of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Canberra.
Whilst with BHP IT, Phillip worked on a large number of highly technical projects including the #3 and #4 Continuous Caster control system,
the #6 Blast Furnace process control system, and the Project "MD" control systems. Since leaving BHP and forming Evanscorp in 1999, Phillip has supplied architecture, lead developer and
consultancy skills to various Government organisations as well as public and private companies of varying
sizes. Evanscorp has also taken on a number of successful software development projects in its own right and each of these were designed and lead by Phil.
