interactivetasksinteractivetasks manufactures and distributes computer-based examination software designed to facilitate student testing in an educational environment. Their unique on-line testing software provides instantaneous feedback to students, allowing students to not only receive their exam marks instantly but also to be corrected. When a student achieves less than 100% in a test, they'll know what questions they got wrong AND what the correct answer was. The interactivetasks software is downloaded to each student's computer and executed locally. With limited advertising resources, iteractivetasks knew that distributing their software via the Internet was going to be key to the success of their products. By making their software available for free download and trial over the Internet, a prospective customer could validate the software before committing to any purchase. In order to protect the software from unlicensed use, interactivetasks developed a system of license keys that allowed the software to be used for a fixed period of time before it ceased to function. Simply getting the software out there wasn't enough. interactivetasks knew what they wanted to say about their software and how they wanted to say it. They put together their web site themselves to be dynamic, eye catching, and easy to use. When it came to managing the customers and the database of keys that had been distributed, they realised they needed some external help. interactivetasks approached Evanscorp and we designed a basic customer relationship management tool for www.interactivetasks.com.au using the .NET Framework and a Microsoft Access database. Now, whenever a trial key is requested, an e-mail address is recorded. The system automatically sends reminder e-mails when keys are due to expire, and new version releases and free upgrades are advertised to the relevant customers. interactivetasks has more and better information through our extensive web-usage reporting facility that provides feedback about the number of customers, their click paths, and the number of downloads. The ResultAfter two development iterations, the interactivetasks customer management system is working well. Trial keys are going out the door regularly and although it's still early days for interactivetasks, they already have customers from all over the globe. ... every thing looks bloody fantastic! I gave it a solid work out and it's great : )) Martyn Payne, interactivetasks |
